I use it about 3 to 4 times a week and it does what I need it to do. If you are looking for more bells and whistles, you may want to look at another model. If you want a good standard model that will give you heart rate, calorie burn and summarize your information as you continue to do workouts, this is it. For the price…I think it’s a great product.
Read the manual. One reviewer complained that it beeps constantly – she should have reset her target zone. I lamented that it kept reading too high, or became stuck on one heart rate even if I sprinted or stopped, or it displayed just zero zero. I discovered (by reading the directions)that I needed to turn my Blackberry off. It works fine if my phone is off!

This Polar RS200 is a good beginning watch. From previous models owned, it has some quick start features that are nice. The most important thing is to take the necessary time to go through the entire set up process and then things work well.
This product works great and does everything that I need it to do. Only complaint is the display, I wish it would keep the display that you used the last time you worked out so I dont have to keep changing it. Workout records are little challenging to find all your information until you can remember where everything is within your workout report. Would like to get the foot pod if it wasnt so darn exspensive.

Great product for the $ I spent. I picked it b/c I can replace the batteries myself and the cost was in my budget. It does jump around more than I’d like, but I can tell from the range that I am over or under my target heart rate. It does beep to let you know that, but I find it annoying so I turn it off. If you find you have trouble getting it to register your rate, then move it around a bit. Mine works best when I put it higher on my chest, in the area of my heart, just below my shoulder blade.
This was my first heart rate monitor & I am very pleased with it. Did not require a lot of instruction. The chest strap is comfortable. Occasionally the monitor does not immediately pick up an accurate rate when first put on – but after a few seconds you are ready to go. I will be ordering another for my mother. Excellent product for the price.

The watch itself was the smallest of the four I looked at, which is good for me since I’m a gal, and not necessarily looking for a clunker. But, Polar is not a watch company, and it shows in their oddball design. I wish it looked just a little more watch-like, and less like some alien hardware that fell off a Vulcan vessel.
Just got this for my birthday. I was extremely excited since i’ve been running for a few years now w/out something to track my pace and distance. At first, i couldn’t get this feature to work – and the HR monitor was no problem. In the instructions, it reads as though the calibrating of the foot pod is optional, but it IS NOT. You won’t get any results unless you do this first. Just FYI. After doing this, i tried out the foot pod on a treadmill and was off by a good .1-.12 miles. I’m going to try re-calibrating it, but be aware that the pace/distance may not be accurate at first. Can’t wait to try it outside on one of my regular routes. Run happy!

Bought this before a trip to Hawaii after my s400 elph finally died. I’ve always had good luck with Canon’s so I’m a little biased. That being said, I did a lot of research into other brands before settling on the sd4000. I have a dslr for serious work, but ultimately bought the sd4000 for convenience, something to throw in a pocket, easy enough to for family to quick take shots on auto, and quality to hopefully rival my old s400. I learned through a bit of research that a lot of the newer pocket cams, despite higher megapixels and newer sensors still have a tough time with noise in low light. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the sd4000. Using the low-light mode is hit or miss. It’s still easy to get blurry shots when things are moving but most of the time photos in low-light mode are pretty good. After several thousand photos, color accuracy also seems pretty true to the real thing, but still best outdoors. This camera has a great feel to it while taking photos, especially for such a small size. The HD video and slimmer size are what kept me from going with the powershot s90. Suprisingly, I’ve found quite a few times when the video has come in handy too. Another surprise was how well close up shots turned out. Clear detail at close range. No trouble with speed issues either. Went with a Transcend 16 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory card. For those times when it’s tough to carry the dslr or when you need to be a less visible photographer without a flash for those impromptu shots, I’d rate the sd4000 as a great choice.
